About
Sponge is a porous block that absorbs water on contact, removing flowing and source water blocks in a radius around it when placed. Admins use it to quickly drain flooded terrain, clear water from builds, or create custom water features without manual removal.
It breaks easily and stacks up to 64, making it practical to carry and deploy in bulk. Once saturated with water, a sponge can be dried in a furnace to reset it for reuse. Spawn it with /give @p minecraft:sponge 1 to stock a project or test water mechanics.
