About
The Piston is a mechanical block that extends one block forward when powered by redstone, pushing most adjacent blocks out of the way. When unpowered, it retracts. Pistons are stackable (max 64 per slot) and have a hardness of 1.5, making them quick to break with any tool.
Admins use pistons to build automated farms, sorting systems, doors, and other redstone contraptions. Spawn one directly into inventory with /give @p minecraft:piston 1. Both sticky and regular pistons function the same way; the sticky variant retracts pulled blocks back when it retracts.
