About

Magma Block is a naturally spawning block found in the Nether and deep underground biomes. It damages any entity resting on top of it and emits a faint glow, making it useful for building mob grinders, damage traps, or creating dangerous ground hazards on a server.

Because it has 0.5 hardness, it breaks quickly with any tool and is stackable to 64. Admins can place it with /give @p minecraft:magma_block 1 or by hand. The block itself does not spread fire or ignite nearby fuel, but mobs and players standing on it take damage over time unless they are immune.
