Dispensers differ from Droppers: Dispensers *use* certain items (fire Arrows, place Water, ignite TNT), while Droppers always eject items as objects. On servers, Dispensers power automatic farms, mob traps, and puzzle mechanisms. A Dispenser with hardness 3.5 requires a pickaxe to break efficiently and drops itself when mined.
