The Debug Stick is a creative-mode utility item used to modify the properties of blocks without breaking and replacing them. Admins and builders use it to test block states and iterate on designs quickly, for example, toggling a fence's connection direction or a redstone wire's power level by clicking a block with the stick.
It does not stack and cannot be obtained through normal survival gameplay or the creative inventory. Spawn it with the /give command. Only players with appropriate permissions can use it to modify block states; without the right access level, the stick behaves as an inert item.
